
It is about time that someone would do something outside the box in our industry.
Well Husaberg Just pooled out something completely new in the Off-Road motorcycles industry, That is just as big as coming out with the first aluminum framed Honda CR250 in 1997 maybe even bigger........
They came out with a whole new Motor for the FE450 & FE570. This is a whole new approach in off-road motorcycle design. The crank shaft of the new motor, is actually sitting above the transmission, which makes it a whole new approach to designing a dirt bike. The new engine sets the center of gravity, more towards the rear of the bike which makes the bike much easier to handle.
While other companies keep very busy improving existing technologies, Husaberg dared to come out with a whole new technology.
Even when the first aluminum frame came into the motocross world, the basic structure and geometry of the bike remained almost the same. This is why I think it is a way more revolutionary then the first aluminum framed motocross bike.
They got out of the box big time and it seems like they made a great product.
The new engine also includes a new Keihin 42mm fuel injection system (EFI).
The engine is also very compact and light.
